Bald Eagle Nest -Sauvie Island

bald eagleParticipants in the June 20 Family Nature Walk at Oak Island (Sauvie Island) had a special opportunity to view two juvenile bald eagles in a nest along with one of the parents.  Other species of birds were also very prevalent.  Bring your binoculars and head out to Sauvie Island to enjoy the outdoors!

TunnelFalls The walk to Tunnel Falls on the Eagle Creek Trail is long, yet not daunting. Wildflowers lined the path. Tiger lilies at the edge of the trail beckoned cameras to take home an intriguing photo. The air was tepid and just right for a day on the trail. Tunnel Falls roared with spring runoff. The falls are captivating and worth the lengthy amble to get there. We made a stop at Punchbowl Falls and put our weary feet in the chilly creek.
