She Who Watches–East Columbia River Gorge

She Who Watches 011

This is a great family outing for those who don’t want to hike long distances. There’s some really good examples of the pictographs/petroglyphs adjacent to the parking area. But, to see “She Who Watches” you’ll need to make a reservation. The Sierra Club conducted an outing to see these treasured works of art from the ancestral residents of the Columbia River Gorge. It’s worth the drive!

Clean and Green Family Outing

Clean Green024Weeding and picking up trash along the Columbia River can be a fun and rewarding way to spend a Saturday morning –like Jessica Boldt, Sierra Club leader,  and several families found out.  At least twenty-five beagles and their families were also waiting for Snoopy and the Sopwith Camel at Pearson Airfield.  It was fun strolling through the herb and vegetable garden, and tasting and smelling some of the herbs.
